1) Milltown Mining. Number 56 for 1000 shares to John McMullan. Signed by George Wingfield and JM Fenwick. Fenwick was also secretary for the Jumbo and Goldfield Consolidated. Two of Wingfield's most productive mines. Dateline Goldfield March 23, 1906. Red underprint, 'MINES AT GOLDFIELD NEVADA.' Three stock mining vignettes. Light discoloration, remains of paper clip. Milltown was a suburb of Goldfield just outside of town. It was a mill town, but located at the base of Florence Hill, it was also a mining town. King George Wingfield was Nevada's Political and Financial boss in the early 1900's. In 1907 Milltown stock appeared on the Tonopah stock exchange. Within a year it had gone from $2.05 to $0.03. 2) Marinette Nevada. Klondike. # 1452 for 600 shares to John Stang on December 15, 1911. Signed by secretary Allen W. John and president James Watson. Three stock mining and milling vignettes. Small tear bottom left, nicks at fold edges, some discoloration upper right border. Endorsed on back in 1923. Clearly stated this company was in the East Klondyke Mining District. Tingley, in his extensive research on Nevada mining districts, does not mention ‘East Klondyke?’ Includes information on the mining companies and nice history of Klondyke & Milltown.
