1) Gold Flat Mining Company. #74 for 200 shares issued to Elam Biggs in 1892. Signed by secretary H Mitchell and president John Glasson. Dog ear lower right. Two heavy vertical folds. Located 2 1/2 miles north of Grass Valley. Near the town of Town Talk. By 1894 a double shaft had been sunk at an incline of 45 degrees to 300 feet. An 830 foot drift is on the 212 foot level. Estimated that 200 feet of of pay ore is present. [California Journal of Mines and Geology] 2) Brunswick Consolidated Gold Mining Company. Number 10032 for 100 shares issued to ER Grant in 1899. Signed by J Studtfeld Jr. and Charles L Jarrett as vice president. Four assessment stamps on back. Very nice condition. This stock has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two men shaking hands with the words above them, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall". The Brunswick Gold Mining Company was Incorporated in Kentucky in 1888. The company was reorganized under the Brunswick Consolidated Gold Mining Co. in 1890. The property was located on the Mother Lode at Grass Valley and consisted of auriferous quartz. The total production between 1893 and 1917 was $1.58 million. Neither is cancelled.
