Lot of 2 different. 1) Great Lakes Aircraft Corporation. No. CA 03189, issued for ten shares to George Gehrke on Nov. 21, 1929. Signed by the vice-president and secretary. Green border, black print, and vignette of airplane and men in a military camp. Folds, some staining. Printed by ABN. 7.5 x 11.5" In 1929, the Great Lakes Aircraft Company (GLAC) was formed in Cleveland, Ohio at the former site of the Martin Aircraft Company. They built civilian biplanes, float planes, as well as biplane torpedo bombers and dive bombers under contract to the US Navy. In 1933 the Company was reportedly working on a steam power plant for driving aircraft turbines. 2) Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. No. 1628, issued for one share to Lawrence Falater on March 17, 1999. Not cancelled. Blue border, black print. 8 x 12" The company was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
