Lot of 2 different with "Marquette" in their names and offices in Michigan. 1) The Marquette Gold Mining & Milling Company. Located at Sunshine, Gold Hill District, Boulder County, Colorado (according to newspaper articles and E&MJ). No. 1171, issued for 20 shares in 1907 to Charles Heikkilo on June 25th, 1907. Signed by president William B. LeVegne and the secretary. Not cancelled. Gold border and seal, black print, mining vignette. Deep folds with minor separation, some stains. E&MJ reported in 1906 that they were planning on building a 500 ft. tramway from their mine to their mill. 1905 newspaper articles report a big strike in the company's Baltimore shaft. 2) Marquette and Arizona Mining Company. Inc. in Arizona. According to Mining Magazine, Vol. 8 (1903), the Marquette Mine was located near Bisbee, Arizona. No. 843, issued for 50 shares to Joseph Latowski on March 9th, 1903.
