Lot of two different Mascot mining companies; one in Colorado and one in Arizona. 1) The Mascot Company. No. 429, issued for 1,000 shares to Walter Smith in 1903. Signed by president JC Blaisdell and secretary FL Ream. Not cancelled. Green border, gold seal and title, black print, and 3 mining vignettes. Folds, toning. According to the Salida Mail (March 11, 1904), the company owned the Columbine group of claims on Bear Creek in the Cleora District, which was located in Chafee County. 2) Mascot Copper Company. No. 6607, issued in 1910 for 75 shares to EH Dettmer. Signed by president HH Evans and the secretary. Not cancelled. Blue border, black print, and great birds-eye view vignette of the Mascot Mine in Arizona. Folds, creases, toning.
