Both of these companies operated in the Cerro Gordo district near Keeler. The Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company took over the properties of the Four Metals Mining & Smelting Company around 1912. The Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company incorporated in 1913, while the Cerro Gordo Mines Company incorporated in 1914, with the Inyo Cerro Gordo Mining & Power Company as it's principal shareholder. The company's main property was the Cerro Gordo mine which produced lead, silver, gold and zinc. The Cerro Gordo Mines Co. letterhead notes, "Mines at Cerro Gordo Near Keeler, California".
