Lot of 2 different. Both are related. 1) California Brewing (printed over "Bottling") Association. San Francisco. Inc. in 1921. Low no. C3, issued for one share to company secretary S. Herald on Sept. 13th, 1921. Cut and stamp cancelled. Black border and print, gold seal, and bald eagle vignette. Folds. This was part of a Prohibition-Era corporation known as the Cereal Products Refining Corporation and composed of numerous California brewing entities including the Acme Brewing Co., National Brewing Co., Union Brewing & Malting, Claus Wreden Brewing Co., and Broadway Brewing Co. The Bottling Association operated the Acme Company's plant on Sansome Street, producing a near-beer called Acme Light. 2) California Brewing Association of Southern California. San Francisco. Low number 5, issued to the Cereal Products Refining Corporation (their parent corporation) for 5,000 shares in 1934. Punch cancelled signatures. Orange border and seal, black print, and vignette of bottling works. The California Brewing Association was a merger of six SF brewing companies, but mostly became just the Acme Brewery and National Brewery.
