Lot of two different receipts from scarce Colorado assayers. 1) Colorado Smelting Company. South Pueblo, Colorado. Assayer A. Wright, For the D. Wood Ore, Montrose, Colo. Specimen assay of silver worth $54.30 per ton with negligible gold. 1885. 5.25" x 9.5" 2) Certificate of Assay from the Buxton Mill Assay Office. For the Steward Mining Company. Value gold $16.53 and silver $5.20. Signed by BF Aukery(?). 4 x 7.5" The Buxton Mine was in Clear Creek County near Silver Plume.
