The 1894 triple murder committed by a jealous husband named Robert Logan had the Nevada newspapers abuzz. He would Dan Lovelock who ran a stage from Lovelocks to Cottonwood. Logan was sure he was intimate with his wife. He would also kill an unsuspecting passenger. While on his way to take the bodies to a dumping place and dispose of Mrs. Logan, his wife got the jump on him and killed him. Extensive background on the blown dam and triple murder! Lot of two. 1) 1887 Cottonwood note. Addressed to E. Emmons. He was a miner, store owner and rancher.
