From June 23 to July 1, 1931, navigator Harold Gatty and pilot Wiley Post completed an around the world flight in eight days, 15 hours and 51 minutes. these covers commemorate that flight. The postmarks range from a collector in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, a cache collector un Ansonia, Connecticut, to Harry C. Duffield, whose name and address are on four of them. Some of these cache covers advertise, not just congratulatory messages to the two adventurers, but they also have events, saluting the two aviators, like Harbor Day in San Francisco, an American Legion State Convention in Chippewa Falls, The Michigan State Fair and more. All are in nice condition and ready to collect. Please see photos for more details. [ Burbank California
