This lot includes 2 one-troy-ounce, 999 Fine Silver medallions from Northwest Territorial Mint. The first one features the official seal of the US Department of the Interior Bureau of Mines on the reverse, and on the obverse is a classic image of a prospector panning for gold at the edge of a stream -- a small, genuine gold nugget had been affixed onto his gold pan (however, the nugget has come loose but is still inside the capsule). The second medallion is a 1991 commemorative of Operation "Desert Store" which has been beautifully enameled. Each encapsulated coin includes a Certificate of Authenticity and is nestled into a black velvet-lined leatherette-style clamshell case. See photo for details of this interesting pair of beautifully struck medallions. This lot comes from the liquidation of Northwest Territorial Mint. State: City: Date:
