Lot of 12. Prints of engravings of people and places throughout early US history. Included are 5 seafaring images by American painter Warren Sheppard (e.g., Sinking of the Alabama, The "Monitor" and the "Merrimac", etc.), images 7-1/8 x 4-3/8 inches, c1895-1897. Each print has onion skin cover. Oldest item in the collection is a steel engraving titled William Penn's Cottage, Letitia Court, Philadelphia, 1682, printed and published by H. Quig, c1865, image size 6-7/8 x 8-5/8 inches.
