Lot of 3 vintage wall maps issued by the US Forest Service, titles are Southeast Quarter/Northeast Quarter/NW Quarter of United States showing National Forests (missing Southwest Quarter map), national forests shown in green, include public range and township land grids. Southeast Quarter map has legend stating 1908 date w/Gifford Pinchot, Forester, also states that map was Reissued with the National Forests and Related Projects and Data by the Office of Geography in the Forest Service. Information Furnished by the U.D. Reclamation Service, U.S. Weather Bureau, and Inland Waterways Commission. Inset maps show Alaska and Cuba and islands recently acquired by the US (Isthmus of Panama, Hawaii, Guam, Wake, Tutuila, Samoa, Puerto Rico). Includes table titled Lumber Cut During the Calendar Year 1906 with board feet amounts listed by region. Scale for all maps: 1" = 37 miles. Note: Northeast and Southwest Quarter maps have no dates or legends but appear to be part of group with 1908 map. Dimensions for all 3 maps: +/- 43" x 32".
