About one cubic foot of six US stamp albums with some scattered foreign. Stamps are mostly all mint, unused, except for a group of first day covers and philatelic postcards in albums.
The group is unusual, in that this is not from a stamp store inventory, but comes from a California family. Here, a mother (probably) creates and starts albums for herself and two kids, Rachael and Mike. A stamp stockbook is created for all three, starting in 1939 with the 1936 and 1937 special commems from the philatelic conventions. All three books show similarity and some exactitude in duplication for each person, though each has differences, inclusive of plate blocks, coil strips, etc. The family collection contains two albums of heavily collected material, of a similar vintage, c1939-onwards with some earlier material, all common. One album is a Scott Minuteman, and the other a Minkus "All American" album lacking the hard covers. Each of these contains well presented collections of singles inclusive of back of the book issues, including philatelic postcards. The singles are all mounted in standard see-thru black backed stamp mounts. Thousands of stamps are present with no apparent great rarities. Please preview.
