The USS Nebraska (BB-14) was a Virginia-class battleship launched in 1902 and commissioned in 1907. She joined the Great White Fleet on its world cruise from 1907 to 1909, serving as a symbol of growing American naval strength. During World War I, she was used primarily as a training vessel and convoy escort in the Atlantic. After the war, she continued limited service until being decommissioned in 1920. Under the Washington Naval Treaty, she was scrapped in 1923, ending her brief but notable career.
