This marks the second time we've been able to offer the very rare Eaves silver. We offered the discovery piece about a year or two ago, a single piece found in a local silver collection. This group consists of four dinner forks. There are thus only five known pieces to us and our advanced Nevada silver collectors. Eaves was a silversmith in Sacramento circa 1860 (Eaves & Nye), and may have moved up to Virginia City shortly after. He may have started the jewelry and silver business that later became M. M. Frederick. Nye came in shortly after. c1862-1865. State: Nevada City: Virginia City HWAC#: 49152 Date:
