Stock Certificate from the Uncle Sam MMC. Incorporated in 1898. Located at Cripple Creek. Certificate number 1779. Issued in 1903 to R. J. McCaffrey, signed by president Mach(?), and K. Macdermid. Printed by Gowdy-Simmons Co. Colorado Springs, Colo. Average condition (small tears at fold edges, etc.). Issued. Vignette is red, white and blue patriotic showing the Capitol, crossed flags, eagle, etc. According to Hills, the company owned the Little Leota and the Alta on Bull Hill, as well as the Priscilla on Lincoln Hill. The Alta has a 165ft. deep shaft; the Little Leota a 100 ft. deep shaft and 250 ft. of cross-cutting. [Hills, 1900, pg. 469]
