Lot of seven. All different. 1) Standing Lady Liberty with scroll, quill, and shield. All seven had a Slogan: "Ninth AC" with a large cross. This presumably stands for the "Ninth Army Corps," but the associated cross was not the official corps badge of the Union 9th Corps. Printer's Imprint: "Chas Magnus 12 Frankfort St. N. Y." at the bottom left. 2) Another standing lady liberty holding a flag and looking out toward freedom(?). 3-5)Three different sitting lady liberties. Two with shields. All with flags. 6) George Washington in iconic pose with one foot on a boat and pointing. Sword in hand. 7) Finally one more standing lady Liberty Holding a sword with crossed snakes and a shield with George Washington's portrait. IX Corps (Ninth Army Corps) was a corps of the Union Army during the American Civil War that distinguished itself in combat in multiple theaters: the Carolinas, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Battles included Bull Run, Antietam, the Overland Campaign and Petersburg and the Crater. Charles Magnus produced high quality patriotic covers during the Civil War which are very much sought after by today's collector. Date: Location: New York, New York HWAC # 54576
