Certificate #A2214, issued in 1909 to George Davidson for 1 share. Signed by E.M. Cobb as president and E.A. Norton as secretary. Train vignette at the top inscribed, ñ Saratoga and Encampment Railwayî, and large smelter vignette at the bottom titled, ñSmelter and Reduction Works at Encampment, Wyomingî. In addition to the railway, the company controlled 91% of the stock of the Penn-Wyoming Copper Company in 1909. Penn-Wyoming controlled lands including the Battle Lake Tunnel Site Mining Co., The Ferris-Haggerty mine, the Osceola mine and the Doane-Rambler mine. A sixteen mile aerial tramway connected the Ferris-Haggerty mine and the smelter, one of the longest aerial tramways in the world. attractive certificate is in excellent, Uncancelled condition.
