Using this engine the Lexington won 1st and 2nd place in the 1920 Pikes Peak hill climb. In jan of 1920 at the New York Auto Show President Frank B. Ansted announced the formation of the United States Automotive Corp. by the $10 million merger of Lexington. Ansted Engineering, Connersville Foundry Corp. and the Teeter-Harley Motor Corp. The aftermath of WWI slowed production and the company went into receivership in 1923. Eventually purchased in 1927 by E.L. Cord Auburn Corp. phasing out the Lexington.
