This lot holds three books: "Drill Instructions for Light Artillery United States Army 1896", pp.554 broken fragile binding. 3.5 in. X 5 in. "Instruction for Field Artillery, 1860, pp. 349, moderate foxing. 6in. X 8in. The third book is a "Soldier's Handbook" owned and signed by Bernard Jacobson Battery G Artillery/ assigned to the Artillery School Band. pp. 86. It includes expenses ledger. In this book and binder are the folded documents for Bernard Jacobson becoming a Free and Accepted Mason, an Odd Fellow, and his Honorable Discharge papers from the Army after 5 years service, 1891. 6.5in.
