No. 103, issued to WC Potts for the year 1900. Signed by WA Clark as president. Countersigned by Giroux, endorsed by Potts. Black print on light blue cardstock with background design. Clark, one of the "Copper Kings" of Montana (mining millionaires), was also a US Senator from Montana (1901-07). Clark built this line to link his copper mine and smelter in Jerome to an existing branch of the Santa Fe Railway system. He paid out of his own fortune the entire $600,000 it took to complete. The line was finished in 1894, and scheduled service began in 1895.
