This is a full-stock Kentucky rifle with an Ohio origin. The lock was made by locksmiths Thomas and Charles Neave of Cincinnati. The Neaves were iron mongers and merchants on 89 Main St, Cin. (Shumway p.178). Although this rifle is unmarked as to who built it; the Neaves were known to be used on rifles built by John Kirlin, E. Bates, A. J. Jones of Augusta, Ky., and W. H. Brown. Some repairs on beautiful wood. SN: N/A, JMD Oval Tag: 7044, Condition: Fair, >
