Extremely rare. Rubick does not list any tokens for Fort Union. Tokencatalog.com lists a Durfee & Peck (Ft. Union) token with this exact pictorial and design, though that one is in copper. There are listings for Durfee only tokens in Leavenworth. This may be the only example of this token in existence! (Raised pictorial of buffalo) // Good For / 25 Cents / In / Merchandise / E.H. Durfee. Aluminum. Round. 20mm. Durfee & Peck were Indian traders along the Missouri River. It is believed Durfee operated outside of the partnership with trading to the southern tribes. He died in 1874. (Svoboda Collection) City: Fort Union State: Montana Date: c.1860s HWAC# 29533
