Very rare! Principal offices located in Upper San Miguel, Colorado and Detroit, Michigan. Inc. in Colorado, March 1880. No. 389, issued for 500 shares to Henry Gerbs in May 1881. Signed by A.T. Nichols as president and John B. Corliss as secretary. Not cancelled. Very attractive design with black border and print, gold RN facsimile underprint, and two mining vignettes (underground and outside of mine entrance). Printed by Calvert Lith. Co., Detroit. Folds. The company owned 16 claims incl. the Sylph, Crystal, Forest City, Damon, Oro, Bonita, Louise, Little Darling, and others on Bear Creek, 3-4 miles south of Telluride, Upper San Miguel District. Located in 1878. Gold-bearing quartz assaying at $30 per ton. Developments include one 68 ft. level on the Sylph, a 100 ft. level on the Crystal, and smaller levels on the others.
