Second group of sixteen Utah mining related stocks.1)Utah Gold and Copper Mines Company (AZ), issued in 1909. Mine office was at Newhouse, Beaver County, Utah. Lands, 30 claims so. Of Newhouse in the Washington district of the Needle Range Mountains, also 160 acres at State Line, Iron Co. The Beaver County lands included the Blue Bell group. Unc. 2)Pacific Gold and Copper Mining Company (SD), issued in 1904. Possibly Utah, though we couldn't nail this one down. Three mining vignettes. Unc. 3)Syndicate Mines Company (OK), issued at Chicago, Illinois in 1906. Mines located near Santaquin, Utah County. X cancelled. 4)Bradshaw Mining and Milling Co. (UT), issued in 1908. Mines located in Beaver County, Utah printed at left. Low cert. #5. Not listed in Copper Handbook. 5)Ohio Copper Company (ME), issued in 1911. Mine office was at Bingham Canyon, UT. Nice mining vignette. Unc. ABN. 6)Santaquin King Mining Company (UT), issued in 1912. Mines in the Santaquin district, 65 mi. SE of Salt Lake City, adjoining the Santaquin Chief. Miners working underground. Unc. 7)Utah Coal Railway Company (UT), issued at S.L.C. in 1914. The word "Coal" in the company name is crossed out. Since this is a coal railway, we included it with these Utah miners. This railroad was listed as a non-operating subsidiary of the Denver & Rio Grande R.R. in 1915-16. In 1917, it was independent and ran from Utah Railway Jct. to Thistle. In 1926, it leased the 8.7 mile National Coal Railway, which ran from Darrah to Union, until abandoned in 1954. Revenue stamps and mining vignette. Stamp cancels and part of stub attached at left. 8-9)Walker Mining Company (AZ), issued in 1936,1937. One in brown and one in green. They come with a brokerage confirmation slip. Certificates were transferable in Salt Lake City as well as New York, so we're guessing this was a Utah miner.Unc. 10)National Tunnel & Mines Company (ME), issued in 1937. Operated at Bingham Canyon, UT. The company was controlled by the Anaconda Copper Mng. Co. and the International Smelting and Refining Co. Mining vignette. Stamp and hole cxls. 11)Lakeside Monarch Mining Co. (UT), issued in 1937. The company operated the Monarch mine in Tooele County, 16 mi. north of Delle, Utah on the SW shore of the Great Salt Lake. Mining vignette. Stamp cancelled. 12)Bullion Mining Company (UT), issued in 1939. 13)Bullion Monarch Mining Co., Inc. (UT), issued in 1951. Eagle vignette. Unc. 13)Standard Uranium Corporation (DE), issued in 1954. Eagle vignette. Held 21 claims in the Big Indian district, in San Juan County, UT. Unc. 14)Big Bend Uranium Company (UT), issued in 1956. Miners underground vignette. Stamp cancelled. 15-16)Basic Resources Corporation (UT), issued in 1960, 1968. Both are stamp cancelled.City: County: State: UTDate: 1904-1914
