Very attractive pass issued 1887. Nice vignette of "Black Rock" at Salt Lake City. What makes this pass even more special is that it was issued to TC Power, an influential Montana mining, real estate, and mercantile mogul who also later served as a US Senator. At this time, he was the president of Benton Transportation Co., a steamer company on the Missouri River (please see our pass in this sale for that company!). Signed by W.W. Riter as superintendent. Not endorsed on reverse. Clean. Despite its name, the railroad never made it to Nevada. In 1889, it was merged with other rails to form the Ogden Short Line & Utah Northern Railway. (Prag Collection) City: Salt Lake City State: Utah, Date: Inventory# 39069
