A typed letter signed by U.S. Vice President James S. Sherman on Vice President's Chamber letterhead. Dated February 21, 1910, the one-page 7" x 8.75" letter is address to Hon. I.V Baker of Comstock, N.Y., in answer to his request to designate the People's Bank of Sandy Hill as a special Government Depository. Sherman, sounding exasperated, writes: "May I inquire of you why you do not make requests for such matters ... of your Representative in Congress?"
