Lot of two maps and six booklets. 1) Mr. Chaffee's report to Congress that Colorado should be made a state, c1874. 2) 1879 Presidential Executive Document about the Ute Indians. 3) 1889 letter from the Secretary of the Interior about the Ute Indians. Includes a 34 ½ x 27” map of the proposed Southern Ute Indian Reservation by I. P. Berthrong. Excellent condition. 4) Petition of the German colonization of Colfax asking for 40,000 acres. 5) 1897 letter about the Ute Indians. Includes an 11/13” map of the works of the Colorado Consolidated Land and Water Company. Fancy script. Excellent condition. 6) 1877 admitting James Belford to a seat in The House of Representatives.
