The company had 3 unpatented claims with gold and silver ore (1910 Mines Directory- Vol. 1). Nice signature from A.A. Codd, a well known Nevada mining figure. In addition to Goldfield, Codd was involved in Rawhide as a promoter and miner and was president of the Rawhide Mining Company. He was later involved in the Divide district as well as Weepah and Gold Reef . The Velvet claim was one of Goldfield's first and was a very rich strike located 1/4 mile s.w. of Goldfield town (panicof1907.com). Codd also built the Nevada Short Line Railroad to connect Lower Rochester with the Southern Pacific R.R. (Top 25 of Nevada, Van Brocklin).
