Location of Mines: Ten Mile Consolidated Mining District, Colorado (printed on either side of vignette). No. 244, issued for 550 shares to JA Rollins on July 13th, 1881 in Denver. Signed by president Edward H Goff and secretary HE Irvine. Not cancelled. Black border and print, underground mining vignette. Printed by Hamilton Print, Boston. Deep horizontal and vertical folds with 3 tears, toning. 7.5 x 11.5" Not listed in C&L or CHNC. An ad for the company in the July 14th, 1881 Vermont Standard states that they have 160 acres near celebrated claims such as the Robinson Consolidated, Wheel of Fortune, and White Quail. The Tenmile District was first identified by Hollister (1867) and described as all the sections drained by Tenmile Creek. It was listed by Henderson (1926) as the Consolidated Tenmile, and he included within it the Wilkinson, Frisco, Robinson and Kokomo Districts. Ken Prag Collection
