Reprint copy of the diary of Vern Haugland titled, 43 Days: An Epic of Journalistic Devotion. Vern Haugland was a reporter for the Associated Press during the end of WW2. On an assignment to New Guinea, he had to parachute out of a bomber that ran out of fuel. This diary covers the 43 days that he spend in the jungles of New Guinea before he was eventually found by missionaries in a native village.
