On the first day of Nevada Statehood, November 1, 1864, this deed was executed. Stephen Haydon of Carson City was selling Charles Laird of Sonoma right-of-way (or alley) from East to Fritch Street in Carson City in the area known as "Hayden's Extension." This may have been the first official document ever executed in the state of Nevada! Includes two large brown 25c US Revenue stamps. Long rips at the folds - some the folds. If this wasn't the first , it was one of the very first!
