One of the earliest Nevada state bonds issued to William Chapman Ralston for $1000 on December 20, 1864. William Ralston was a California investor who assembled the means to monopolize the Comstock Lode during the 1860s. Rare to find Ralston's presence in Nevada documents. It is also signed by the first Governor of the State Henry G. Blasdel and Controller A.W. Nightingill. Mounted on beige cardstock within 23” x 19” shimmery rippled frame. Very good as writing is light, but it is easily readable. State: Nevada City: Carson City, Ormsby Date: HWAC# 99356
