Waffentabrik Bern 1879 10.4x38 MM Swiss Rim fire cartridge. The first bolt action, repeating rifles for any military. This arm loads like a Winchester repeating rifle and the cartridge tube is enclosed in the full musket style stock. It fires a .310 grain bullet at 1425 FPS WITH BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGES. The Vetterli M78 was made 1878-1881. The rate of fire is 21 rounds/minute. It holds 12 rounds in the chamber tube and one round in the chamber. Quite an astonishing gun for its time.
