Shortly after gold was discovered in the Cripple Creek area, Victor was born. Although poorly processed, this 6.5 x 4.25" photograph clearly shows several of the fledgling town's newly built stores sporting signs that read "Mining Supplies" (DS Robinson) and "Assaying" (EC Misner?).
