This is a Victor Type P Phonograph Player and represents one of the smallest players of its kind. According to Intertique.com, these models were never meant to be sold to the general public, but they were meant to be given away for free as part of promotional campaigns. The wood cabinet is approximately 6.5"H to the top of the turntable and 12.5" square at the base. The original Victor Talking Mch, Co. nameplate is still attached and shows Model P and Serial Number 8226. A 9.5-inch metal arm, possibly bronze, extends from the wood case to hold the 22-inch-long, 11.5-inch diameter brass horn on a 15-inch wooden strut that held the horn and needle assembly. The winding crank is missing, but the turntable can be wound by rotating it backwards. The brass horn has only minor dings and dents, and the original Victor Talking Machine "His Master's Voice" logo with Nipper the dog is still visible on the black finish.
