Cert. #A55, issued in 1885 to H.R. Nash for 6250 shares. Incorporated in New York. Signed by J.F. Alexander as president and Abm. L. Earle as secretary. Location of property, Victorio district, Grant Co., New Mexico printed at the bottom. The district is about 3 miles south of Gage and 20 miles west of Deming. The best properties in the district were controlled by George Hearst and Haggin & Tevis (1883, Burchard). The company produced high grade silver ore and a 40 ton smelter was purchased. The certificate was torn into three pieces, and it's taped together on the backside, so condition is poor. Hamilton Bank Note Co., New York. Uncancelled.
