Convicted of separate murders by the Vigilance Committee of the City of San Francisco, Philander Brace and Joseph Hetherington were hung in a public execution on July 29, 1856 at Fort Gunnybags at the corner of Sacramento & Montgomery Streets. This is a rare 8"x 10" print showing that event. A little ragged on the edge, but still in decent condition. [San Francisco] [California] [] [] []
