Businesses such as: furniture, book store, undertakers, attorneys, dentist, physicians, First National Bank, real estate, Mayor's Office, Cobb Hotel, Department of Justice, printing, etc. A few are pre-1900. Vinita is the county seat of Craig County, Oklahoma. Founded in 1870, it was the first city in the state with electricity. The city was first named "Downingville," and was a primarily Native American community.
