Tall, tub shaped basket is in very good condition. 8" diameter x 6.25" deep. Pima women made small, cylindrical coiled baskets decorated with adaptations of traditional designs. Materials used are willow splints and devil's claw. The Pima (Akimel O'odham, "River People", formerly known as Pima) are a group of Indigenous Americans living in an area consisting of what is now central and southern Arizona.
