1. Silver Central Consolidated Mining Company stock certificate, Devil's Gate District, Nevada, 1877. "Location Devil's Gate District Lyon Co. Nevada" printed around vignette of the Nevada state seal. Incorporated January 1875. No. 598, issued for 1,000 shares to Lucien Hermann, secretary, on January 16, 1877 in San Francisco. Signed by George Atkinson (president) and Lucien Hermann (secretary). Not canceled. Gold border, black print, and Nevada state seal vignette. Printed by AL Bancroft & Co., San Francisco. 4x9". Clean.

According to the Yerington times (February 7, 1875), this company owned two claims: the Silver Central and the Carson Consolidated, located in Silver City, Nevada. They adjoin the Kossuth and are south of the Dayton. 37 acres, 3,000 ft. of ledges. Assays are $60 per ton. "The Silver Central is not a vehicle for speculation, but a sound, thoroughly worked, and skillfully managed mine."

2. Solid Silver Gold & Silver Mining Company stock certificate, Virginia City, Nevada, 1880. "Location Virginia Dist. Storey Co. Nev." (printed at bottom center). Incorporated February 1876. Certificate 1275, issued for 170 shares to M. Martin in February 1880 in San Francisco. Signed by H. Cox (president) and R. Hewson (secretary). Not canceled. Black print on creme paper. Lith. Britton & Rey, San Francisco. Main tunnel is 1.500 ft. in length, with 750ft. of branches and cross-cuts. (Ref: Pacifica Coast Annual Mining Review and Stock Ledger 1878, p. 246.).
