Lot of 130 pieces. All but two are way bills for the company, issued 1898-1900. The other two documents are Agent’s Monthly Statements from 1900. Way bills list driver, passengers and packages. Way bills measure 17” x 11” and are in good condition. This collection deserves the attention of a Montana collector or historian! This stage line was owned by S.R. Burford, a prominent Virginia City merchant who partnered with Henry Elling to run a large merchandise store, this stage line, and other ventures, such as the Elling State Bank.
