Lot of three genuine Vitachrome advertising display boards, patented in 1918. Made by Young & McCallister, Inc., San Francisco, CA, in a new mechanical method of applying oil paints (the first silk screening), these three are painted with vibrant colors on thick chip board. Includes 16 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. painting of a ship, "Rose City," with Vitachrome label and description on back; 12 1/4 x 19 in. Arabian scene with Vitachrome logo and wording, "Why nods the drowsy worshipper outside?" and 12 1/2 x 21 in., also an Arabian scene, with logo and wording, "And still a garden by the water blows," by Omar Khayyam. Some rough edges due to age, but paintings are intact and bright and colorful. Would look great as a set, framed.
