1) #431 to Day, Adams and Co for 100 shares on November 20, 1906. Dateline Denver. Signed by secretary Orville S. Dines and president H. A. Woodworth. Printer Kistler of Denver. Unusual scalloped seal! Nice crossed SHOVEL and PICK vignettes. Also vignette of ore cart and 2 miners. No edge, corner, discoloration of pin hole issues. Located in the Hunter Mining District near Steptoe City. This was a closed investment company among some of Colorado's richest men: including Tyson Dines (lawyer for the Colorado & Southern Railroad) and the Woodworth family (Florence oil magnates). Buying the Hunter Mine (aka Vulcan) was the brainchild of President of the Colorado & Southern RR J. M. Herbert. Two pages of notes on the mining company and ½ page on the Humber district and Steptoe City. 2) Bonus stock - Cherry Creek Gold Mining Company. This is a later certificate, but it is NUMBER 1 for 200,000 shares to the president of the company. Signed by L. G. Hardy as president and B. Y. Hardy as secretary. Notes on Bishop Leonard G.
