A collection of five great examples of World War I American and German pilots' autographs, four on photographs and one on a card. The first is Gerhard Fieseler, WWI German fighter pilot. WWI Ace with 19 victories. Created the Fiedler Storch which became the standard by which all STOL aircraft were measured; built the V-1 rocket, first effective guided missile; won the word aerobatic championship several times in the 1930's. Fine bold signature on 5" x 3.75" card. Second is W.F. Badham. Popular WWI American Ace with five confirmed victories. Gunner. Wonderful photograph 4" x 5", B&W, of the Ace in his fighter behind his machine gun, dated 1918. Four other pilots are standing next to the plane. A very fine WWI collectable. Third is Douglas Campbell. First trained pilot to shoot down an enemy plane. WWI American Ace with a total of six victories; flew with Eddie Rickenbacker. Approx. 4" x 6", B&W, of the Ace, head and shoulders pose in uniform. His name is printed on the lower white margin. He has signed his name on the lower white margin so offering excellent contrast. Fourth is Fritz Jacobsen. German fighter pilot in WWI. Ace credited with five victories. Approx. 4" x 6", nearly full length pose in uniform standing in front of his plane. Signed in full adding a sentiment and his unit. Fifth is Hans Georg von der Osten. German fighter pilot during WWI. Ace credited with five victories. Group photograph, 4" x 6", of Manifred Von Richthofen (Red Baron) and his squadron pilots forming a pyramid over him. Von der Osten is at the top. Boldly signed by the Ace on lower white margin.
