This is a WWI Liberty Loan Register from Montana. The money raised through the sale of Liberty Loan bonds was used to fund the war effort. Americans were highly encouraged to buy bonds and do their part to help achieve victory. This registry gives the names of subscribers, the city they were from, the bond amount, the bond number, and the date and amount of installment payments. Most subscribers in this book are from Pony, Norris, or Harrison. The bond amounts in this register generally range from 50 to 200 dollars. Pages 35-6 of this registry contains two envelopes for 50 dollar bonds that were purchased by W.G. Dietz through Morris State Bank. There is also a statement saying that Deitz sold the bonds on May 4, 1921. 10.75 x 14.5, approx. 100 pages, good condition.
