The first of three items in this lot is a beautifully ornate, framed graduation certificate from the United States Naval Academy for Midshipman Cary H. Hall, dated June 6, 1940, and personally signed by ten Naval captains and commanders and a Lieutenant Commander. An embossed, 3.25-inch gold seal is adhered to the lower left corner of the certificate, and the lithographed ornamentation includes beautiful vignettes of Poseidon, tall ships in full sail, and winged sea monsters.

The certificate itself is approximately 19 inches wide and 24 inches tall. The frame, with glass, is approximately 20.5 inches wide and 25.5 inches tall.

Accompanying this are two official 1953 documents commissioning Cary H. Hall to the rank of Commander.

All three documents are in excellent condition and worthy of display. City: State: Date: HWAC# 75977
