A poster calling for nurses to seek employment at Veterans' Administration Hospitals in order to care for veterans of World War II, printed and distributed by the U.S. government. The poster features a painting by American illustrator Douglass Crockwell of a morose veteran in a wheelchair, with vignettes of a battle scene and a nurse tending to him. A message on the reverse side of the poster requests the public display of the poster and advertises educational opportunities and raised salaries for nurses. The poster is printed in full, vivid color. It is creased from storage and has a tiny hole on one crease (over the image of the veteran) and wear/minor tearing along the edges. [
