Lot of about 50 pieces of ephemera from the 1900s related to WWII and railroads. Includes a dozen newspapers from 1943-45, mostly Contra Costa Gazette, also Concord Transcript, and Labor Journal; 1960 Oakland Tribune; and 15 more, mostly from the 1980s, with nine from The Union Democrat in Sonora, and the rest from the San Francisco Chronicle, the SF Examiner and the Sacramento Bee. Also includes railroad and about 20 other pieces of ephemera such as: The Elks Magazine, 1986, "Farewell to the Faithful Caboose"; "Mountain To Mill, The Colorado and Wyoming Railway"; "The Day of Two Moons"; model railroad newspaper clippings from the '80s; 1980s train brochures; 1962 Wyoming canceled cover with stamp; 8 x 10 colorized photograph of snow scene; and seven unused black and white RPC postcards of WWII U.S. Navy ships. RPCs include: The USS Oklahoma, sunk during Pearl Harbor, 1941, and left beyond repair, with 429 men onboard killed; The Victory Fleet anchored in North River New York 1945; USS New York; USS Harrisburg; USS Rathburne; USS Illinois; and the USS Mississippi, launched in 1905.
